I wonder where your smile has gone Deep down, I know. I wonder where the sun has hidden Shaking between your teeth helping you force a fake smile. Bitter remarks hiss between your palms Don’t touch me I’m scared. The sun is poison and the moon is fear I wonder where your smile has gone but age has gotten the best of you. You’ve lived a life with smiles that are glasses half-empty kind of guys and you want to give me words of wisdom but they come out liquid greed on your tongue. I wonder where your smile has gone Deep down, I know. I wonder where the sun has hidden, Shaking between your teeth.

She sobs her story into the phone and begs you to say nothing. She sobs with eyes of sapphire her chest a lead weight that is pulling her further     down into that tempting abyss. You want to hold her whisper words against her ear curl together under a blanket wear her sweaters just because they smell of her. You want to hold her close to your heart but the harder you try the further gone she gets.

It's an anvil around my neck my collarbone is on fire Fingers weave through skin cells I could kiss you into oblivion But the promise of a friendship breaks my spine and pulls me six feet under.

Love is a sin but you've been drawn in too far. Love is a battlefield – didn't you steal that from a song? – and you've got your fair share of scars. His eyes hold so much history – they store all his emotions and you watch as his knuckles turn white as he tighten his hands into fists. Confusion  Anger   heartbroken        Betrayal  Sadness Words fly across your mind and you’re dimly aware of the fleeting thought “Didn’t I stop analyzing you years ago?” But then you’re back on your feet screaming at Moriarty as he t

“My baby’s all grown up.” a smile on lips that sing lullabies a smile that’s been hollowed and stained by worry and too-much-coffee. “Your baby’s a soldier now, Momma.” A change of stature commanding officer shoulders that have held so much burden a smile that has seen death.

You gave her a code name You'll never say her name again You buried her in the closet. It's time to move on. Blue is the color you see when her eyes meet yours. Blue is the color you associate with happiness - Just the opposite from everyone else who deems it depressing. Blue is the color that fits her perfectly that hugs all her curves and that makes you want to confess your love to her. Blue is the color that makes your heart skip a beat and that makes your stomach fill with butterflies. Blue is what you'll call her because saying her name without a loving connotation is just too much to bare. You buried her in the closet. It's time to move
